How People Perceive Different Long Dresses

By Rob Sutter

When you line up a group of people, you're most likely going to get different answers on what is trendy. People have their own perspectives on fashion; even if the viewpoints appear the same, there are little quirks which will help differentiate themselves from one another. Long dresses seem to be no exception, considering the different types there are. These dresses may possess loveliness across the board but people are definitely going to look at them differently due to their unique fashion senses.

Being a male, there's only so much of a viewpoint that I can live on long dresses but I can most certainly try. Ball gowns are one type of dress that I see and fairytales seem to spring to mind instantly. When I see these particular choices, with various soft colors and a half hourglass-like look with snug top and spread skirt, I can't help but bring my mind there immediately. Vintage clothing, at least in this sense, is where companies like Estelle's can realistically offer their credibility.

Beaded dresses also stand as a possibility and one of their biggest features, at least to me, stands in their shininess. I think that these are perfect for girls who want to be able to separate themselves from everyone else. They will certain gain the attention of peers but I don't know if I'm entirely sold on them for women. I'm someone who appreciates simpler tastes and no matter what the occasion may be, clothes which present subtlety will go over with me better.

I'm certain that there are those who are going to want to purchase clothes based solely on price, too. People have commonly said, in regards to clothing, "it looks nice but not that nice," and there's a reason for it. We, as a society, want certain things but sometimes the prices that are offered are not going to be up to par to what we may have wanted. Tailors have to be able to find prices in which they can sustain business, bringing customers win while supporting the growth of establishments.

While I may not know a terribly great deal about dresses, I cannot deny the fact that certain clothing will only appeal to certain people. I feel like simpler tastes are the way to go, though that's just one man's opinion on the matter. Clothes do not have to be loud in order for people to take notice and I feel like those which don't pop out at you are more fashionable. Just like everyone else's viewpoint, though, that very mindset will definitely vary between people.
