How a City Bike Depicted a Strong Networking Tale

By Rob Sutter

Sometimes you'll come across a story that tugs at one's heart strings and makes you want to support the person who is being talked about. You want to be able to connect with that person and know whether or not their actions are proving to be worthwhile. With one particular story, it seems like just about anyone with an Instagram account can do exactly that. This is the story of one man who made a city bike venture turn out to be much more than that.

The story talks about a man by the name of Rob Lutter, who decided to take a venture around the world. He left his job in film in order to venture about on a bicycle across great distances. As of this writing, he had traveled for over 9,000 miles, all the while crossing several boarders. In addition, he has raised money for a global aid site, more than $2,000 to be exact. With so many types of terrain to move through, it's clear that he had a challenge at his hands and he took it head on.

No one can argue the fact that Lutter has gone many miles on his city bike and not many others can effectively do that. What's even more impressive, though, is that he has utilized social airwaves, taking to Instagram in order to keep people updated in the visual sense. It's the only way for him to stay in touch with people and I believe that factor alone has pushed Lutter forward. He has many supporters and I believe many of them are intrigued by companies like Linus Bike, too.

I can't begin to tell you just how much this story impresses me. Even going out to ride for an hour or so can tire out a good number of people and Lutter has taken to riding around the world on a bicycle. It's clear that he has gained a tremendous amount of support from people but who's to say that a little more would hurt? In fact, I think that if this body of support continued to be built, it would allow Lutter to have even more of a structure to push onward more.

Social media stands as one of the biggest platforms in the world and I believe that stands for a multitude of reasons. One of the bigger ones has to do with the idea of communication and how it can be done across long distances, no matter if you are states or countries apart. When speaking about luxuries, I don't know if there are many which are greater than this. Lutter has made great use of it and it may be one of the more genuine utilizations I have seen yet.
