Tapping Your Full Capability In Selling Custom Made Hats Through Internet

By Benny Roye

Do you have passion for selling hats? Do you want to try directing a small business of selling hats online? Here are basic steps on how to be an able seller.

Customer testimonials can be powerful tools to gain customers. Often a kind review or positive testimonial can reassure customers of the quality of your hats and your reputation. Customers often listen to others.

Register an email address that is linked to your online business. Hosting sites usually include emails with the hosting packages they sell. If you are paying to host your site in the first place, you might as well take advantage of the email that is particularly tailored to your online business.

Pay attention to the market around you. If one seller is doing well and another is struggling to maintain business, try to determine the reason. It might be the one seller has a niche hat product or winning sales strategy that you could adopt.

What is your customer's goal when going to your site? If it's to browse hats and find new ideas then you need to deliver that experience. If it's to get on, place an order, and then be finished, you need to deliver that, too. Consider having numerous landing pages for existing customers and new customers. You can accomplish this with cookies and it will help you deliver exactly what they expect.

View your website through the eyes of your customers. Do the links all work? Is your site user-friendly and easy to navigate? Is it visually appealing? If the answer is no to any of these questions, consider redesigning your site to make the shopping experience the best one possible for your customers.

You're only going to sell if you make it super easy for your customers to purchase. This means offering plenty of payment alternatives. If you haven't done it already add pay pal support and e-check processing. You might only get a few extra sales a month, but you wouldn't have sold them otherwise. Who knows? You could end up doubling your volume.

Send holiday greetings via email or better yet, send them a small gift. This way they will feel appreciated and that you care about them. This also sets the mood for the season and also reminds them of the offers you have if they had forgotten.
