Is There Something Magical To SEO?

By Andrea Hill

Many Internet marketers believe there must be some magic formula to creating a website for it to receive the notice of search engines like Google. We have studied about buying links and filling our sites with completely detailed SEO techniques while tweaking it with constant activity on every page. All of this is much too often to no avail; the site is still not getting the desired recognition. Is it any wonder we are wondering what in the world has gone so awry?

Facts will always prove that you really can do too much with a good thing. Google penalizes websites all the time for creating the wrong links, as well as for haviing too much SEO. Fooling the spiders into seeing a site as an authority by filling it with irrelevant content is just not what will happen. What is needed is planned strategies and appropriate keyword placement with an eye toward natural link building all with quality content. That alone will provide websites the edge they need.

[[It is true that it is possible for website owners to accomplish their own SEO, having SEO services on board to help take the mystery out of Internet marketing is generally the best way to go. This is true for the novice along with the seasoned veteran marketer. Trained and experienced experts understand where and how to find those all important links as well as better techniques to create compelling content.]]

Marketing via the Internet is not about using force to make the search engines to focus on any particular website. Instead, it is about becoming a relevant source of information that offers good quality content that readers will love. That content must have compelling SEO techniques applied without filling it with keywords. Generic content is best because that is what other website owners search for to place on their sites. This is what is called natural linking, and the more the better.

As you can see, there's no such thing as a magic formula to making any website easier to see on the web. It all comes back to providing something of interest to viewers that offers them something they are looking for. Great quality content does not merely work to get the notice of search engine crawlers. It gives something of value that keeps readers coming back for more and letting others know about what they have read.
