Make sure that you leave the protective layer, on the back end of the tape, intact until you are about to put the item in place. The longer you leave the tape unprotected, the weaker the bonding strength will be. This also opens up possibilities for dirt and contamination. This product is not just great for sticking things together.

The other benefit for the backing, is that if you get distracted it's ok. The material will not lose stickiness from being exposed as it is still safe and sealed. This is a real bonus as all other adhesives would dry out in this time leaving you at a loss. The product rendered useless and you having wasted time, money and effort on something you have to redo.

You can use it between a door and its frame to prevent the door banging if accidentally slammed, whether it be by wind or a person. You can use it for hanging small pictures for the kids.
