Internet Marketing Companies May Help Crowdfunded Games

By Robbie Sutter

Recently, an influx of new video games has been brought about on Kickstarter and these ideas have more than been able to earn the attention of many. "Mighty No. 9" is probably the best recent example that I can give you and I think that it goes to show just how much influence general public can have. How exactly have these games been able to gain such followings? In addition, can Internet marketing companies come into effect in order to help these games reach even greater levels of attention?

One of the reasons that a project like "Mighty No. 9" did so well in the eyes of the general public was because of how much it was able to harken to a franchise that hasn't been utilized in a big way recently. This project is headed by Keiji Inafune, who is the original creator of the "Mega Man" franchise. It goes to show in this new project, especially in the way that it appears. If it is considered to be a successor, it would be very easy for fans to believe it.

Capcom has been criticized for a number of things, such as the neglecting of the Mega Man franchise at the expense of the fans. Even though they have demanded a new game time and time again, it did not seem like the company had any interest in bringing such a product to the masses. I think it speaks volumes about Capcom's faltering success when it cannot take into account the demands of fans. Ignoring one's user base is a problem in the eyes of those within Internet marketing companies.

What would you have to do in order to make sure that your Kickstarter video game project is able to attain success as well? Having a demo doesn't hurt, even if it is a rough patch of work; this will give individuals an impression of the work that you are trying to bring to the masses. However, being able to advertise your project is vital and this is where the best of all Internet marketing companies can come into play. Authorities like fishbat will prove themselves time and time again.

I feel as though the majority of Kickstarter projects have been on rather unsteady ground for one reason or another. Amongst them, though, are a couple of gems that are able to attain tremendous amounts of money since there is a lot of trust built into them. Maybe there is a reputable name to take into account, Inafune being the example spoken about earlier. The gaming masses understand what kind of impact their influence has and it will be the type that is felt in the long term.
