How To Carefully Wash Custom Design Shirts

By Rob Sutter

Congratulations, you just got your hands on the best custom design shirts and you are ready to use them. You want them to be utilized for the long term, of course, and taking care of them is probably going to be one of the first things that springs to your mind. That being said, how can you carefully clean these shirts so that they are able to hold up well? There are many aspects to keep in mind but here are some tips that may be helpful to you.

If there's one thing that I was able to pick up on as a fan of these shirts, it's that cold water is typically best. Hot water oftentimes becomes too much for the fabric, meaning that it stands a greater chance of wearing away. This is unfortunate but sometimes you have to sacrifice the idea of temperature if you want to keep your shirts at the greatest level of quality imaginable. If you keep this in mind, then you will be able to benefit in the long run.

I don't think that anyone can deny that the washing process is immensely important but sometimes designs can get in the way. Shirts that have been treated with ink in order to create designs are going to be those that have to be handled differently before they are brought into the washing process. I would recommend that you turn these tops inside out so that they aren't as exposed. If this is the case, make sure that you keep this in mind for the sake of longevity.

One of the more commonly utilized aspects of washing clothes is detergent but I don't think that this should be the case for custom design shirts. I understand that it is meant to help stains come out, which is why consumers typically pick it up. However, along with this feature comes the chance that the ink of certain designs can fade, resulting in damaged clothing. There are other ways to bring stains out, as authorities the likes of East End Screen Printing could tell you.

That being said, you may look at these rules and think that anyone who's ever done laundry can follow them easily. The truth of the matter is that these are exactly what they are all about. Sometimes this is all a matter of common sense, which is great for those who want to make sure that their custom design shirts hold up well. Sometimes you don't have to change much but those who have never gone about it may benefit from an alteration or two.
