On the south eastern edge of Africa is an island nation called Madagascar. The Mozambique Channel which is 300 miles wide separates this island from mainland Africa. The unique geographical location and land formation has led to the discovery of numerous and precious Madagascar minerals. These stones are luxurious, come in numerous colors and are used for a range of ornamental purposes.

Diopside ranks among the most famous and common extractions. This stone is light green in color with a pyroxene feel.
