Is Your Home Business A Scam Or Not?

By Russ Howe

If you are searching online for the best home based business program it is likely that you will come across thousands of programs which all claim to be the top dog. But one of the biggest problems for potential online marketers is that they don't know how to check if a potential business is as genuine as it first appears.

Make no mistakes, there are thousands of great companies online you can work with as an affiliate and there are countless real, regular people who have built solid incomes that way.

In today\'s video, Russ Howe teaches how to find the best home based business for you.

Of course, for every great program there is a not-so-great program. For every safe and genuine opportunity there is one which doesn't stack up quite so well. Most people presume that anything they see on the internet is too good to be true, that reputation is largely because of the negative reputation of multi-level marketing companies which didn't work out.

The internet is the home of the 'instant success formula'. People are constantly being drawn into multi-level marketing programs which promise them crazy, easy success and then don't deliver. Is it the fault of the person for being so naive or is it the fault of the company for being untrustworthy? In our view, it's a bit of both.

When people are looking at becoming their own boss, for some reason they do not take the 'real world' mentality into the online world. If you set up a business in your local area you would expect a tough time, right? But on the internet people don't push themselves anywhere near as hard. This means that even when people do find established opportunities, such as Global Domains International for example, they still don't get results.

You don't want to put in the massive effort to change your financial future with a company who are planning to run off into the distance when the novelty wears off, after all.

These small details will help you to see if a company is safe and legal.

* The company should display a business license to prove it is genuine and real.

* All businesses on the internet require approval by the FTC.

* Be sure you work with an opportunity which has already proven itself and established it's position in it's respective niche. Basically, don't put all your eggs into the basket of something which is only three days old.

The 'get rich quick' mentality is usually associated with MLM opportunities. They sprout up every single day, each promising the be 'game changers' and guaranteeing mass riches for the people who get in early. It never works, of course.

If the program is genuine it will have no reservations about showing it's FTC approved status and also it's business license for trading in the state where it's registered. Most will even make these visible on their website or forum.

One of the biggest factors in deciding upon the best home based business to build your future with is finding out whether it's legally registered and considered safe in your part of the world. If you cannot do that, then you should not join that particular program.
