Things To Remember When Customizing Sports Tees

By Ruthie Calderon

Wearing something symbolic for a specific event is something that is of utmost importance to a lot of different people. It can say something about your identity and at the same time that of the nature of the event that you are attending. For events as big as sports, wearing something that is a representative of the team or the person that you are supporting can be great.

People start to wear items that are identifiers of their favorite team or player. If you look around the market today, you will see just how prolific it has become. Portland sports tees are items that have been popular for a long time already and are continually gaining more attentions especially for the fans of the best teams in the city.

There should not be much of a problem when it comes to looking for a good maker of the shirt. There are many affordable printing stores out there if you only look enough. They cater customization opportunities where you get to decide how you would like the shirt to look like. Here are some of the things that you can consider when you make your own design.

Shirt color. All sport teams have their official colors. And if you want to add credibility on what you have, then you should go for the same color that they have. If however you like it to be personal and do not like the official color of the team that you love, then you can always go for what you prefer.

Text. This is where you decide the words, or any text that you would want to print on the shirt. It could be anything. Most common ones are names of professional sport teams. Some also include their own names to show ownership. Think of the text and consider the part of the tee where you want to print them.

Print color. You cannot just go on deciding this without being clear about the shirt color that you have. The print will have to be a match to the shirt. Otherwise, the appeal may look negative. Common example would be a white print against black and yellow against red. Experiment on different colors.

Logos and other additional details. Aside from the text, you should also be mindful about the other design items that you would like to place on it. Do you want to have the logo of your favorite team embedded. How about any insignia symbolizing an organization your are in and the like. It will be best if this matches well with the text.

Type of cloth used for the shirt. This will mean a lot when it comes to durability, so you better start finding those that are considered to be the best. There are a lot of variety out there. Get to know what they have to offer.

You do not have to just let the shop decide a good design for you. Of course they have custom ones. But more than that, you should consider your preference. Identify what you want. If you cannot get the idea on paper, you can discuss it with the maker so they can draw it for you.
