Considering the fact that hockey has a huge fan base and is among the most celebrated sport, they have a huge following of die-hard fans who are loyal and willing to support their favorite teams even when things are not going so well. In addition, there is a crop of new fans who are interested in the games but are unfamiliar with how the sport is and things like what to wear to hockey games.

To begin with, people should be versed with the temperature of these arenas which is usually chilly as a result of the iced playing ground; moreover, other than this its never too cold to drag heavy outwears in the match. Having understood this, its easier to put on a comfortable outfit that does not reveal too much as people may mock you for seeming as a attention seeker.

In most cases, people that reserve seats that are on the edge and closer to the playing ground tend to be colder due to their nearness to the ice and the opposite happen when the distance is further. With people seating in these spots, heckling and jumping around is the best way to keep them active; hence, warm. Moreover, as a tradition, pucks that occasionally hit the fans are usually given to them as a way of compensating them.

Having comfortable shoes is among the things one ought to consider while preparing for the game as wearing high-heels as opposed to sneakers makes it harder to walk around especially when climbing the stairs. In addition, other outwears such as tank tops and shorts are seen as embarrassing outfits as people only want to enjoy the game and not see people who want to show off their bodies in such a chilly environment.

To most people who understand what the game is all about, having a jean, a t-shirt and perhaps a sweater is all they need to enjoy the match. In some rare cases, one may have to put on a coat or a heavier sweater and sometimes even a scarf so as to keep off the chilliness and avoid catching a cold. However, with the game happening indoors in an arena and at night, wearing sunglasses is never an option.

In a means to support the team one is cheering, wearing a cap or a jersey is the way to go; conversely, one may opt to match their outfits with the colors that represent the team they are supporting. Uniformity has always been the best way to enhancing effective cheering as people cheer in one voice and therefore motivating their player to play harder and consequently performing better.

Given that one is seated amongst a crowd, feeling their warmth is inevitable which means one does not have to totally wrap themselves up with heavy clothes; instead, they can loosen up a little in order to enjoy the match. This however differs with different people as everyone has their limits when It comes to cold tolerance. Therefore, this may call for wearing heavier outfits like coats and even gloves just for protection against the chilliness.

Having a thin jacket is the best option as one is protected from the chills that come with the ice and bring cold and also keeps one in minimum temperature where one is not sweating. Cheering while freezing can be embarrassing as it affects ones concentration, making it hard to enjoy the game.
