Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to monetize a website or blog. Understanding the in's and outs, and using smart promotion tactics can help you be more successful and make more sales. Three excellent ways to promote products without a hard sell are through reviews, tutorials or testimonials.



1. Always SEO.

You are going to want to constantly optimize your website both on and off page. You are going to want to constantly be optimizing your website in order to improve your rankings. Affiliate sales are going to be greater the more traffic you get coming to your page. Therefore, you are going to want to really enhance your SEO efforts.

Tutorials are another great way to sell a product without being pushy or hard-selling. Creating an instructional video on youtube, in pdf form, or even an ebook, is a great way to show the user what the product has to offer and how it can help them. This will drive more sales and drive your commission up in the process.

Last but not least are testimonials. This method works great because not only does everyone love a story, but, having personal experience with a product helps the user feel secure in their purchase. By telling a story about your personal experience & give your selling points in a friendly way that makes users want ot buy.

3. Think about when readers are more likely to purchase products. You may want to avoid holidays and times when you know that your readers are going to be away from their computers. Your marketing attempts will simply not work during these times because they will be busy doing other things. You should always time your affiliate marketing pitches at the right time.
