How Home Lenders Are Getting Into City Bicycling

By Rob Sutter

It's clear that city bicycling has become such a popular way of transportation and there are not many others who would be able to argue with such a sentiment. After all, who else can say anything negative against the concept of transportation that has been able to gain the attention of millions of riders? Companies have slowly started to climb onboard with this concept as well. For those who are curious, home lending seems to be one of the latest supporters of this particular method.

It's not like bicycle sharing is a new trend, either, which is great for those who find a great amount to enjoy about it. In fact, New York City's CitiBike program has become such a phenomenon in recent times that I think that there's no surprise as to why more programs are being opened up. More and more individuals are starting to see the attractiveness of this. Those who live in major cities have especially benefited because of this, seeing as how travel has been made that much easier.

Detroit News reported on a story involving Quicken Loans, Inc., saying that it had become quite the supporter of city bicycling in recent times. However, this level of support has done much deeper than simply talking about the matter. In fact, the opening of a new sharing program of its own has only made it that much more enticing to those who ride constantly. This story is more than worthy of attention of authorities on the matter, Linus Bike being one name out of a few.

You may be wondering, how exactly does this program operate? Well, the article talked about this and it seems like the 9,200 employees within the company have been offered 48 bicycles, each of them being free on demand. They are stationed within eight different locations of the business district as well, so you can rest assured that everyone is going to have an equal opportunity to make use of these rides. It's also possible that more of these rides will be added, which I hope is the case.

Businesses are starting to see the importance behind city bicycling and why so many people have gone about it. Recently, there has been a surge in riders and it seems like there is no better time for companies to climb onboard and support this in the utmost fashion. Is it possible that there is more than one reason for going about this? Seeing as how this method of exercise has more than proven itself, I'd like to think that this is very much the case.
