How to setup Affiliate links in CJ.COM

Steps to get Affiliate links for “match.com” Affiliate program in CJ.COM
We are describing you the steps to join in for match.com.

The same procedure applies for all the Merchants/Advertisers, a few of which we have given in previous post Step by Step:

  • Click www.cj.com 
  • Enter your CJ.COM Login “ID” and “Password” and Click on “GO”.
  • After Login Click on “Get Links” and then on “Advertiser list”.
  • Type “match.com” in the search field and then Click on “Find”.
  • You will see match.com there. Just Click on match.com.
  • A new page will be opened.
  • You will see “Text Link” and “Banner” over there.
  • First Apply for Affiliate program at the bottom of the page. Click on “Apply to Program”. A new window will be opened and it will ask for “Terms and Conditions” to accept. Just Click on “Terms and conditions” and another new window will be opened, Click on “Accept” button and then Click on “Continue”.
  • You should get instant approval in most of the cases. If not then your application is under review and might take 3-4 days time to get approved. Meanwhile try out with another advertiser like “monsteraffiliate'”. For the time being, read below.
  • After getting approval Click on the “Text Link” to use in “Google AdWords” and to use in your
    Website or E-Mail Marketing, Click on “Banner”.
  • A new window will be opened. Click on “Select All” tab and then ask them to “Email the Link”.
  • Check your e-mail inbox for the HTML code from CJ.COM
  • You will get HTML code and your tracking code will be like this:

  • Now you are ready to do affiliate programs for match.com.
  • You can use this and similar links in “Google” or where ever you want.
    Please Note: The approval of your Affiliate Application depends entirely on the decision of the Merchant. In case your Affiliate Application request has been put on “Pending” or “Decline”
    Status. MOSTLY THEY “ACCEPT” ALL. So try till accepting or put an e-mail to the merchant.

How to Use Commission Junction for Affiliate Marketing

Commission Junction, also known as CJ, is the largest affiliate network in North America. Their platform makes it easy for companies and affiliate marketers to connect and work together to increase sales and to make commission. Some companies include Home Depot, Circuit City, Buy.com, Lifelock, Hotels.com, and Equifax. Assuming you already have a website or blog that you are looking to monetize and a CJ account, these steps will walk you through the basics of using commission junction for affiliate marketing.

  1. Browse the advertiser list to choose a company or multiple companies that you would like to be an affiliate for. From the home page select "Get Links." You can then view advertisers by category, name, or by performance metrics. For example, if your blog is geared toward vacations or travel, you can select the "Travel" category or one of it's sub-categories to find relevant companies.
  2. Select a company that is of interest to you. Click on the company banner to learn more about them and their payment details. This will include specific commission and program details.
  3. Choose "Apply to Program" at the bottom of the company detail page. Some companies will immediately approve you while others need to manually review your application. These companies will usually approve or deny you within a week or two.
  4. Get links from the companies that you are affiliated with. From the "Get Links" page choose "By Relationship" to view your affiliate programs. Select "View Links" next to the company that you would like to promote on your site or blog. Finally, choose "Get HTML" or "Get Java Script" from the far right on the banner, button, or text link that you want. 
     
    Select "Highlight Code" from the bottom of the page. You then need to go to the admin area of your site or blog to paste the link code and to publish it on your site.View your newly published site or blog to verify that the Commission Junction link is working properly.
     
    The ad should appear relatively quickly, if you do not see it go back to your administration panel and check the code/link and make sure it was placed correctly.



     

SmartTutorial To Work on Commission Junction

In order to work on Commission Junction you need to signup first so that your account will get created in CJ. After you signup and join Commission Junction you will get the password by email which you can use to login to CJ.com. After you login to your account on CJ.com, you will get the login interface as below-


On the top your name, earnings and CJ account identification number is given. Then below there are 5 link tabs as shown above in the image. They are Home, Account, Get Links, Run Reports and Mail.
On the Home page you will see 2 section, left side and right side. On left you will see something like Announcement, New Advertisers and in the bottom you will see the list of your approved advertisers in the drop down menu. On the right section, you will get earning stats on daily basis, weekly basis or monthly basis. There are number of options you can set.

If you click the Account tab, you will find the option of editing your account details like name, address, phone number, password etc. There is one Tax Information column where you will get the tax form which you have to download, fill up and send to CJ. This is necessary step in order to get eligible to receive your payment.
In the Get Link section, you will get all the advertisers list arranged by category. Either you can search the advertisers by category or other search options given there. You can also get the complete list of the advertisers by clicking on the Advertiser list.


 



 You can check many options for every advertisers like 3 month EPC, 7 day EPC, network earnings, sale, lead, click, status, category. Some of the options are the indication of how effective is the performance of the advertiser if you want to promote that advertiser. So check these options before you choose any advertiser.

If you are interested in any advertiser then you just have to select the check box in the extreme left and then click on Apply to Program button. You can choose multiple advertisers at once. Some advertiser may approve instantly, some will review your application before they approve you and some may even reject your application. Just forget about the advertisers who rejects you and work with those who approve your application. There are more than 2000 advertisers you can work with so you don’t need to worry about this. You can check all your approved advertisers on the home page in the bottom. 

You need to get the unique affiliate link of the advertiser you like to promote. You can click on the advertisers and check the advertisers details page to get your affiliate link. In the next section we will talk about the details about how to take the affiliate links to promote the advertiser and how to make money from Commission Junction.


There is another tab in your Commission Junction account i.e. Run Report. In Run report, you can check detailed earnings report. You can check date wise, advertiser wise and number of options. You will get more knowledge about this section when your earnings will get started.

There is one more tab link and that is Mail as you can see in your account. Its like your email inbox where you can send email to the CJ advertisers or receive emails from CJ advertisers.

This is not the end of your knowledge, just roam around and check here and there and get more and more knowledge so that you will confident and be in a better situation to promote CJ advertisers and make lots of money.







How to Register in Commission Junction (cj.com)

Follow the Steps described below, in order they are mentioned to become a Member in CJ.COM

  • Use “Internet explorer 6.0” or “Netscape Navigator” Browser.
  • Click on the Link https://signup.cj.com/member/publisherSignUp.do 
  • Publisher Application sign up page will appear. You are called as Publisher or Affiliate. (If not opened above the link, Copy and Paste in address bar and Click. And do it same)
  • PUBLISHER APPLICATION SIGN UP PAGE: Step 1 of 2 Pages will appear.
  • Select Language as “English”, Select your Country “India” (in our case), and Select Function currency, “USD”, if you are registering from India. 
  • Click on “NEXT”. (You fill, the * Marked fields only)
  • A Warning pop up window should appear. Simply Click “CLOSE” on that window.
  • PUBLISHER APPLICATION SIGN UP PAGE: Step 2 of 2 Pages will appear.
  • Read and Accept the “Service Agreement” and “Privacy Policy” and Tick the 3 check boxes.
  • Next it asks for “Website or Newsletter Name”. We assume that at this point of time you are not having a website of your own. Enter any name in this field for News letter/e-mail to you. Example: you could write like: Your Name or Income on net or Top 100 Stores on internet, or Online income, CJ income, Shopping, e-income etc... You got the idea? Simply write a name, which signifies the name of the Promotional Campaign you will be carrying. 
  • Next it asks for Website URL. As you don’t have one, leave that field blank. Delete the http://  Written over there.
  • Leave (omit) the “Describe your Website” field as blank.
  • Next it asks for “Category” (Main topic of your Web site). Select any one, out of the list which you feel is appropriate to complete your registration. Example: Business to Business or Business to Marketing or any one.
  • Next it asks for “Define your Promotional Methods”. You can Select (Tick) “Search Engine Marketing” and e-mail Marketing” for the time being.
  • Next field asks “Does your Website offer Incentives”. As you don’t have a Website at this point of time, simply Click on “No”.
  • Next field is Contact Information: Write Your Full Name, Phone no, and valid e-mail id Contact details.
  • Next field is Company Information: You will receive your Payment Cheque on this name. Write Your Full Name, Postal Address with pin code, Phone no.
  • Leave (omit) the “Tax ID” and “Tax Classification” as blank, if you reside outside US.
  • In the “Payment Information”, Select “Check” (Cheque), if you are from India. Check the “Payee’s Name”. You will receive your Cheque on this name.
  • Next it will ask you to “Enter the Characters in to the box below”. This security norm now a day is followed by almost all companies, to prevent from Auto Form Submission, spam. Enter the Characters. 
  • Click on “Accept Terms” and you are done.
  • CJ will send you an e-mail regarding login information to your e-mail Inbox. If not found in your Inbox, Check for the same in your “Junk” or “Bulk” mail folder.
  • You will get your “Password”, “Account Number” in the e-mail and a “W-8BEN tax form”.
  • This tax form is necessary to fill up and sends to CJ by “E-mail” or “Fax” but don’t send it now. Allow your account in CJ to reach at least $ 25 first.
